To me, freedom means toppling or getting away from any oppressive, fascist/imperialistic/capitalist government. My whole perception of what it means to be free is:
not paying taxes, not having to pay someone for land that ain't theirs. Even if you have paid your mortgage in full you still have to pay taxes. And this may not come as a shock to some of you but your house is never really your house. If the government wants to take your house they can do it lawfully! It's called
eminent domain.
Another thing to analyze when thinking about your freedom: To me, working 5 days a week for 8 hours a day is too much. With 24 hours in a day and only 7 days in a week... lets do the math:
You wake up 2.5 hours before work starts. You hop in the shower, get dressed, get ur kids dressed. You load the kids into the car that you pay insurance on (money you'll never see again if you never get into an accident in any given period of time) and take the kids to school/day care. That's already 2 hours of your life gone. It takes you approximately 10-20 mins to get to work. You work 8 hours, leave work mentally and sometimes physically drained (depending on what line of work, you're in). You drive 30mins to get your children in rush hour traffic and back home. Once in the house, it's probably 6pm or a little after 6. It takes you a few minutes to prepare dinner. You have fed the children, bathed them, and put them to bed. It's now 7:30pm and you have about 1 or 2 hours to yourself before you have to go to bed so you can wake up and do it all again. That's not free.
Everything we do in our daily "amerikkkan" lives is directly benefitting the upper class elite.
Middle class is exactly that; you are in the middle, which means the middle class is carrying the poor class and upper class on our backs. Think about it... if you make $30k a year you are considered middle class. With 3 children, a car payment, car insurance, $800 rent, and other miscellaneous expenses, you're still struggling. If you apply for assistance, they tell you
"you make too much money". Meanwhile the poor class is getting assistance and subsidy left and right off of middle class tax dollars, yet a middle class family can't qualify for assistance.
The upper class is dependant upon the middle class to be their employees. Most of us are some upper class capitalist's "boy" or slave. Ain't no way anybody can tell me I'm free here in this country! And don't even get me talking about the amerikkkan injustice system....
