| African Centered Bibliophile!
I must make a confession, I am a Bibliophile, I am in love with books, and I will never turn from my ways. I love their smell, I love there tender pages, the ink. My wife thought of strange of me when she first bought me a book one Kwanzaa, and I...I sniffed the pages...ahhh, the crisp newness of fresh book!
At any rate, now that my display of silliness has passed, I enjoyed this article, it is necessity that we move towards the reclamation of reading and studying for our children. We need to reclaim the magic of paper and pen, we also need to reclaim oral history as a legitimate means of transferring of our cultural norms, values and history! The internet must be used as a training tool for research, and collection of data, RBG Scholar uses this medium extremely well as do many of our writers at this forum! We must follow in the same vein with regards to books and our oral history!
