This forum has a great many posts on Zimbabwe, and rightly so. A large number of them anticipate the combined US/UK efforts to destabilize the country. As if there is not enuf destabilization going on in Africa. Carter is a pig, always has been, who began the whole process of building the Taliban. His last trip to Africa was one where he advocated people use jock straps or panties or something to strain microscopic crustaceans from drinking water to avoid the hazards of contracting guinea worm. While the guinea worm is a natural parasite and cannot help itself, Carter is a political and social parasite and the process of ridding ourselves of him is more complex. He could have simply used his influence to distribute tea pots for boiling water, or better yet, advocated for water purification facilities. Any US beer or soft drink manufacturer could have made a contribution, they purify millions of gallons of water.
Kofi Annan? That figures, as well. It disheartens me to kno Gracie Machel was involved, but she already polluted the memory of Samora when she married Nelson Mandela. I wonder why the African press remains so gracious as to call these scoundrels "elders"? Just because they are old, I guess.
