Greetings Nia!
Welcome to the discussion. Great having you here.
I agree with you most of all the so called beauty products
that are on the market are very harmful.
First of all this idea of chemicals to enhance beauty has to be
the most retarded thing I have ever heard of, and I totally do
not accept it.
If it can kill you them the so called benefits people claim they
gain makes no sense if you are going to end up in the dirt if
you know what I mean.
Now some people might find my responses to this topic harsh,
but we all have to start with what we have and try our best
to maintain it in its most natural state.
If I have to hide under a ton of makeup that breaks out my skin,
clogs my pores and worse yet kills me then whom am I getting
pretty for, the organisms that will help my body to further
decompose.
Now I am not all gloom when it comes to people feeling good
about themselves and trying to take care of themselves as
well. What I am saying is that there is so much natural remedies
out there that will make us look and feel good without destroying
us in the process, that it pains me to see so many sisters especially
falling for the hype of the so called commercialized, europeanized
standard of beauty.
What I would like to see is Afrikans really making a conscious effort
to care enough about themselves to seek other more natural
alternatives to the health, and grooming needs. I don't even
like using the word beauty because it is bogus and unrealistic.
Much appreciation to you sister Nia Imani, for all that you do to
keep us all informed with natural solutions to better our life
experience of healthy living.
Stay Blessed!
