Your friend did an EXCELLENT review! I love it! It's assuring to know that people from the mother land see what goes on here and distinguish us from this decadent, foul, blood-thirsty government we live under. It's very important that people in other countries know the truth if they don't already. What amazes me is that everybody sees amerika for the bully that it is and nobody wants to stand up to it. One day... one day amerika will get its due.
Anyway, I've digressed from my point.
Great review. It makes ANYONE who hasn't read the book want to go buy it. A lot of knowlege in that book, not to mention a powerful story of struggle and the evolution of a woman's life. In the book you see JoAnne Chesimard (a young, naive, confused child) grow into Assata Shakur (a strong, conscious, revolutionary Black queen).
