“Iba se Egun” (I pay homage to the spirit of the ancestors): Alafia, November 2, 2005, Rosa Parks was laid to rest and is ready to be received by the venerated ones in the ethereal realm.

These beings known amongst Twi speaking people as the ‘Nsaman Pa’ (the honorable former mortals who are worthy to be in heaven) have another woman to welcome and bring into the company of the Abosom: but while this is taking place in the invisible world mortals once again have found a way to prostitute one woman’s selfless act. Dignitaries, entertainers, and men/women of the cloth said their goodbyes, while perpetuating the nonsensical confabulation seen to often by civil rights pioneers. This act while selfless was a final resounding denouncement of servility. Without question Emmett Till’s murder was the spark to galvanize a nation, the N.A.A.C.P needed someone of fine reputation to be the face for the fight for equality, none fit this better then Rosa Parks who had been a secretary for the Montgomery chapter for nearly fifteen years.

Prior to what occurred December 1, 1955: few know the names of Reverend Vernon Johns, or Claudette Colvin who just two weeks ago refused to relinquish a seat to a European. Colvin did not fit the profile because she was African (so-called Negro in that era) but was fifteen and pregnant: clearly not what Jack Greenberg and the N.A.A.C.P could afford to take a chance on.

Pastor Johns walked of the bus, and implored others to do the same, unfortunately cowardice

was the order of the day, and allowed the weak to live longer. Mrs. Parks the icon became bigger then the woman, who was appointed her legal guardian Dennis Archer (Boule), who was her attorney Gregory Reed (self-seeking opportunist, who pressed the lawsuit against the rap group Outcast) and think of some of those attendant at her funeral: Jesse Jackson (betrayer of Martin Luther King), Louis Farrakhan (betrayer of Malcolm X), and lastly Al Sharpton (betrayer of Assata Shakur). Rosa the woman, wife, cousin, and friend became secondary to Rosa the heroine.

Eda yi ye me da bi (This day is, a memorable day): Goodbye Rosa Parks go rest away from equality thespians, and civil rights charlatans who made millions but did not care how you lived until that infamous robbery of 1994. Goodbye Rosa: and thank you for realizing this fight is bigger then an individual, to bad those who cry now can fly out first class, and return to their luxuriousness and fight again when the cameras are on. Rest Sister Rosa no one can use you anymore.
