Greetings all
G.O.D.F.A.T.H.A., I agree, we, Afrikan women are subjugated and objectified within this yt system w/o a second thought. If we understand that this is a deliberate act, a strategy of genocide against our people, we then can see that there will never be a thought about our degradation, because that it is the desired affect.
Queen_T, I also agree, if there is to be a change only Afrikan women will be able to initiate and lead that change, because, as
BlackQueen7980 has said, we come from a legacy of great women that goes back to a time b4 yt even existed, so why should we let yt define both our manhood and our womanhood?
talibahbmills, your words, so eloquantly stated, ring true. Afrikan women are the educators of the Afrikan family, and therefore the foundation of our civilization as a whole. Afrikan women's role at the forefront in our struggle for Afrikan liberation is vital to our total existance.
Ultimately, the objectification of Afrikan women is a dual-gender issue. As this article not only describes what is happening to our women, but also it lays out what is happening to many of our men under this system. That many Black men subscribe to the pimp lifestyle, which justifies subjugation of Afrikan women, is an indication of the mental genocide our Black men are also facing.
We have alot of work to do!!!
E se (Thank you all) for such powerful comments on such an important issue.
