Oh! And so no one is confused, I do not mean "formally" to mean "initiated". I am mean you are a devotee in a specific system and specific lineage and you have a relationship with initiated elder in that system and lineage. Nothing more, nothing less. Participation in traditional culture doesn't always require initiation.
