The Dogons live in the Southern part of Mali. I don't know precisely how far that is from Kemet or even the ancient boundaries of Kemet, but they (like many ethnic groups in West Africa) do claim descent from the eastern part of Africa. Looking directly across from the southern part of Mali to the eastern part of Africa will bring you eye to eye with Sudan and Ethiopia. They are a Mande people. Mande people are all over West Africa. I've also been told that the groups that have Ka/ Ke in their names are all Mande people. The Ke/ Ka means to speak. Such groups include the Mandinka, Malinke, Soninke, Akan etc., Most ethnic groups in Africa are not as open about their spiritual systems as the Dogon have been. It may even be a calculated move for them to be as open as they were with the krakkas. Fundamentally, their spiritual system is similar to other traditional African spiritual systems.
