I think our ladies are reading too many damn magazines, watching too many reality shows, too many videos, too many movies, and are logging way too many myspace hours--
Lets get back to reality- The image you try to project to the world is not you, What does false advertisement get you- (unsatisfied customers, that probally want return)
Because of these influences, Black Women got these preconceived Ideals that they are going to get hurt- (Everybody is out to get me)
So they show the world, this fake fabricated, tough and independent image of theirselves thats not really the case 99.9% of the time-

But hear me out, I am not saying all black women do that- But We are still in a society that deems its African American Population as inferior, So naturally as the bearer of our children, it filters down into the black woman first-
That inferiority complex- cycled down from generation to generation-

The blame can not be completely placed on television. Some women do have a prconcieved ideals of how they may get hurt but men take to the extreme the way televison portrays women. Men have this personified imaged in their head of the temperment black women should have and if a black woman doesn't act the way the man believes they should act then all of a sudden it is the woman's fault on why they can't get a good man. Men need to reevaluate themselves because there are plenty of them out there always saying they can't find a good woman.

Most mothers dont even have fathers to their children....and, it is about the mothers, but it is mainly about the children....no guidance, mis-guidance. Its a very round situation. This industrialized place requires alot of time from the poor-working class. Its capitalism abuses and divides everyone...mainly the ones who are trying to make it, because each individual is trying. The men have their role in this society, and because the role was not even designed for our men, it puts our men in an ackward state. This whole country was built from and for a white man.... so, as it applies to the women and our women, definately, is ...oppression.
It messes with time and morality requires some form of unconfused, relieved time...you might call it peace. Time to put things together. Constructcive time. Something.
And that isnt to say that it is impossible to be in a good relationship, or be successful....the pressures are there, just as the potential is. I personally believe that we are a strong people, and once we learn ourselves, we can have better, stronger, and longer relationships with eachother.

I think sometimes in the glare and glitter of the glory, and the pimpin, and mackin, or whatever we call it these days-
we have to remember to just be ourselves- I wrote a thread about how women try to personify an image to protect theirselves-
Well we do the same thing, and if not for protection like our women, why do we do it?
What is it, that makes us try to convince the people around us that we are thugs,- when we know that we are not-
The one underlining common factor amongs all true thugs is this, They want try to portray to you any other images of theirselves, they don't have two or three faces, they are the way they are 24/7.
I'm coming to my point quickly, If you are a sensitive man, that likes to watch the stars and read poetry, and talk about life, and all those good things, that is exactly what your woman needs to see-
Not wanna be " Big Mike, the Killa,- Your alter ego for when you kicking around the block.!!!!! Lol.........Be real with her, and you will get the response your'e looking for- or not, and in that case you already know you need to move around

Is a good black woman being unrealistic in wanting a good black man? Genitals don't make a man a man or a woman a woman for that much... And materialistic things sure don't make for a "good" man/woman.

Some sisters just want to be loved as they love. Maybe the ones who cannot understand this simple want/request are the ones who are too caught up in media/Hollywood.

I am thankful for the honest opinions on this site, I think it is good that we can be real wit each other- taking in consideration these different perspectives has improved my Love life- with my queen.- I, just like my brothers here in America are victims of a society that has set in motion Preconditioning factors to offset us as a people, How we feel about life, How we feel about ourselves, and of course how we feel about our own women-
Well I have learned to think and live outside of their box- I dont need Hollywood, making my womans hair longer, or breast bigger- or any lighter in her skin tone, to make feel like she is a queen-
