We forget the power of not only elder Black men, but of the Black mothers and many times the more powerful respect and influences of grandmothers (our Queen elders).

There are 3 great natural proclivities that have a lot of power over us all, and they are sleep, hunger, and sex and all of them are primordially connect to the female principal. Let’s just take sex alone. When we strip down the socio-cultural psychology these young brothers are just as bound by the laws of attraction as they are by sexuality, for both are primordially connected. They want to attract young women at the end of the day and get more attention directed at them than their comrades. Be it the so-called “ghetto fabulous� sister who’s attracted to the saggin’ supposedly thugged-out brother because she admires this false-image of a so-called ghetto warrior class, or the conscious sister who thinks by developing a relationship with him and giving him an exorbitant amount of attention she can rehabilitate his unaware and downtrodden soul, or the suburban or small town sister who’s operating with the excitement of attracting her opposite and having an exhilaratingly dangerous adventure, all of this objectification and attention helps to keep exacerbating this twisted image of young Black men and makes many other young Black men yet affected become peer-pressured toward emulating these showboating habits, buffoonery, and ridiculously nonsensical fads.

And far as the food angle remember, "an army moves on it's stomach, not bullets"


Let's face it! Too many young Black women love and adore this look!!

haha for the "niggers" of today's society, saggin is a way to look cool or hardcore. Saggy pants orginated in Rikers Island prison, so i feel that young black men only personify oppression and imprisonment amongst themselves...LOOK at the men who wear these "saggy" pants. It's mostly rap stars that talk about slappin a hoe, sellin drugs, and bein in and out of jail. Now little do they know that they hold a great influence over our black young men.

I wrote a book entitled "Clash: Blackwoman it's yo fault" and it talks about these so-called conscious sistas, some whom i've dated, desiring the thug/conscious brutha. These sistas perpetuate the madness that they supposedly fight against.

If I hear one mo sista say "I wanna conscious thug or a gully African" I don't know what im gwan do!!!!

...and might I add that I don't mean gangsta in the "ghetto" sense it is used and abused lately. I Just like a conscious man who stands for what he believes and folds for no one...we females are attracted to the masculine strengths of a man and women these days confuse the "thugs" for strong men and there is more to it than just a tuff front.

That's more than "2 cent" worth Sister JemChi, that 's worth it's weight in gold...

...maybe you can satisfy my curiosity and also help enlighten me by revealing which of those virtues might come first, or in what order on your list of redeemable attributes. For it's a detailed list and I'm sure a "natural-born" man might have some of these virtues somewhat stronger than others.

Interesting….h_mmm???…I guess this is like when Khalid Muhammad said,

“I’m a knowledge gansta’
I’m a Black history hit man
I'm a truth terrorist!”

I guess your "gangsta of choice" or "gangsta' soul mate" would fit this idea…?
