| Celebrate Black Marriage Day 2008, March 30, 2008 Celebrate Black Marriage Day 2008, March 30, 2008 http://www.blackmarriageday.com/ Join Wedded Bliss Foundation , Inc., as we organize churches, community groups, families and couples in celebration of the 6th annual Black Marriage Day 2008, March 30, 2008. We are urging churches and community groups everywhere to mobilize couples to demonstrate their support for marriage by renewing their marriage vows in a national celebration of marriage as a key building block of family, community and our nation. Wedded Bliss Foundation's goal is to have 5,000 couples across the country renew their wedding vows on Black Marriage Day 2008, March 30, 2008, with the theme: Getting Married is Good; Staying Married is Better; a Healthy Marriage is Best. To increase couples chances of staying together we are asking organizations to offer free marriage education classes during March 2008 to celebrate marriage in the Black community. To help promote Black Marriage Day 2008, and full participation in your program, we are offering a Black Marriage Day How to Kit that includes everything needed to host a successful Black Marriage Day program in your local community. The kit includes templates of flyers, posters, save the date cards, fact sheets, and so much more. To get involved, and to order your free kit, email your contact name, organization, phone number to: BMD2008@blackmarriageday.com. Who can host a Black Marriage Day event? Any entity interested in celebrating the joy of marriage in the Black community can host a Black Marriage Day event. Organize couples in your family, social or work group to stand up on Black Marriage Day and renew their vows with other couples around the country. The goal is to change the hearts and minds of the Black community to cherish and celebrate the marriages that we currently have while encouraging more to commit themselves to marriage. What do I need to get started? To get involved, and to order your free How to Kit, email your contact name, organization, phone number and shipping address to: BMD2008@blackmarriageday.com. For more information email us at info@blackmarriageday.com or call 202-544-1936 ------------------------------- Wedded Bliss Foundation http://www.weddedblissinc.com/ Wedded Bliss Foundation was born out of the knowledge that married people live longer, have better health, earn more money, accumulate more wealth, buy more homes, feel more fulfilled in their lives, report enjoying more satisfying sexual relations and have happier, more successful children. This information has the potential to revolutionize the lives of a community suffering from poverty, bad health, depression, poor relationships and much more. The true benefits of marriage seem to be well kept secrets from the Black community who desire happy and successful marriages. This community needs guidance and direction to have successful marriages. In some circles where the "M" word is tantamount to profanity, most marriages are in trouble for one reason or another and neither person knows how to rescue the marriage. Many institutions that once upon a time provided a safety net for couples in need have bought into the hype that marriage doesn't matter. Now enter Wedded Bliss Foundation. Nisa Islam Muhammad and Jennifer Muhammad wanted to do something to change the status quo. Both have witnessed the destruction of lives and families that are damaged by divorce. Both wanted to do something about this tragedy and make a difference in the lives of people. Both wanted to teach the facts about marriage so people can make reasonable and responsible decisions. Wedded Bliss is more than just the title of our company. It can be a way of life and we'll show you how.
