I heard this on the radio a while ago so what do you all think of this. Yes, it's controversial! The conversation with the guy on the radio when like this, since women has the right to have an abortion, men should have to right to abort the woman and child if he doesn’t want the child. Basically saying wants to create a male abortion law that basically goes if a man wants the woman to have an abortion and she doesn’t then he should have no legal responsibility to the child or woman. Do you all agree or disagree with this? This POV explores the question of sexism that women has the right of choice but men do not, is that fair?

This is already happening..We have too many men "aborting" or not taking responsibility as it is for the child that results. The question remains should it now be legal to do so? It was already happening and not being talked about some 40-50 years ago...You have a classmate that got "knocked up" and she disappeared to a home for unwed mothers or was gone to her aunt for a period of time. Or, dude just disappeared or was held at gun point getting married by a justice of the peace or a pastor only to later disappear never to be seen again or only seen decades later. It was not until 1992 that the federal government issued guidelines nationwide for child support. Until then if you were lucky enough to live in a state in which there were no or woefully inadequate guidelines, then the non-custodial parents were not paying much in support anyway. As a result much of the state's budgets were spent on welfare benefits. Now the state governments have not only discovered a new way of making money, legalizing seizure of assets for those that do not wish to take responsibility for supporting their children they can now charge both parents a fee to do so for making sure that the children are taken care of financially. Geez..........Unless he was sleeping in Biology class he should know if he has sex then he should know (birth control or not) he can get a female pregnant. Even for sterilization 3 out of a 1000 fail. He's better off focusing his hostility and wondering if it is fair with his palm and 5 fingers or invest in a blow-up doll.. Cause the laws are not changing anytime soon. Not with the cash cow this gives the individual states.

| Hot potato topic doesn't make much sense
For this idea to be controversial, it has to be rational, and it aint. There is nothing in public policy which will support such lunacy unless the US makes a sudden and drastic shift towards Nazism, and then abortion will be like the least of a brotha's worries. Probably every guy who didn't want some woman aborting his child thought of that one. It's probably been stated in court. However, babymaking is a shared responsibility and if you dont want to make one, keep the jim hat on or seek alternatives to vaginal penetration. There are lots of sidelines: anal, oral, masturbation, homosexuality, bestiality, and the big one, abstinence. Maybe you can get neutered or find a woman with her tubes tied. You can go trickin and probably wont have to pay for any trick babies that you make. Thru out the Millennia, men have gone to other lands and sired children thru the terror of rape and military domination. Often these women became outcasts in thier own societies, along with their children. It is safe to say that not a single human being on this planet does not have a rapist somewhere in his/her lineage. You even hear black folks bragging about having white people in their ancestry, folks who got there via rape (eg., Sally Hemming's children by Jefferson). That aint nothing to brag about. Thats like bragging about your absentee daddy. Brag about him. So now you want another way to dodge responsibility for your children. Well, this is the white man's country and if you can be proven to be the father of any woman's child, you gonna have to pay, my brother. Its like that. Quote:
