Have anyone had ever contacted there ancestors before?

I am curious in this post. Because I had made contact with them. I know that people in this society today would think is crazy to contact ancestors that came from Africa. I would like all my spiritual brothers and sisters to voice your opinion about this. Tell me about your experience about making contact with your ancestors.

Ive had out of body experiences where Ive seen family members...I think having contact with the ancestors would be lasting and memorable, In my opinion most folk who think like that, isn't in-touch with their spiritual side (so to say)

I don't know if I ever made contact with my ancestors. However, I keep having these dreams , i hope they are dreams, were I am talking to some people, while holding a text with ancient writing on it. The texts aren't written in the letters we use now, they are written in some type of letters that weren't identifiable to me. however, in my dream I was reading the text with some older brothers. I always wondered if I were actually communicating with those people or it was just a dream.

The reason I question my dream are because I wake up with this strange feeling that I came from somewhere and I have flashbacks about what happened immediately after I wake up. The funny thing is I don't feel the same way when I wake up from a regular dream. I don't know what's going on , maybe I am going crazy.

I haven't as of yet, however I am aware of the significance of being in touch with our ancestors.

Haiti was very much aware of their presence and used this metaphysical technique to get the French off their backs!

Here in AmeriKKKa we seem to be caught up in the notion that ancestral worship is evil, how backwards we are. But then, Xtianity has alot to do with that mindset!

Yes I Have Contacted The Ancestors....usually During My Drumming....its Not A Vision Or I Dont See Anything....i Usually Go Into A Trance Like State Where I Am Taught Lessons And Shown Spiritual Truths.

Do keep a journal or something.
My understanding is that you are experiencing a time warp? of sorts.
It's available when you are awake, but it depends on your level on 'awake' consciousness.
Obviously the consciousness is more amendable when we are asleep and therefore more receptive to other 'planes' of consciousness.

also, I like to recommend a test of the verocity of the encounter by forming question that one wants answered in the next encounter.
Like where is my watch, whatever. You think of something, just look for the answer from the encounter.
I have found that such encounters are a wealth of just untapped information and an incrediable source of vitality.
The information must be used unselfishly and the vitality should be used in the acquisition of said information.

Be good, be careful and be aware.

My Great-Grandfather was Johnny Shines, a Delta Bluesman, he is part of my experience when I write, do poetry or public lecturing. He was a historian of sorts and of course he wrote so I think this may be why I "feel" his presence! My wife is strong on this and actually during a "smudging" ceremony her Grandmother told me to "watch" over my wife's spirit! My wife is so in tune with the universe I have seen her "go under" at drumming circles and what not! She is a bad sister with regard to ancestral connection. I am learning more in the last two years personally about contacting mine!
