The battlefield has proven spears, bows and arrows not a
good match against gunpowder, which was the strategic weapon at work
in the Transatlantic abduction of Africans. I haven't read any relevant texts
where Africans dipped to the slave ship because the captain was offering candy
or books or crack or trinkets or pie in the sky. Dr York is not long on giving
Africans credit for having the ability to think for ourselves. Much rather hear
his type nonsense coming from a racist propagandist like O'Reilly who we kno ain't on our side.

What u sed. About little unity amongst Africans in Christianity?
That goes for all Christians. You must have read how
churches have been undergoing splits over such issues like gay
marriage, family values (LOL), taxation, female ministers, etc.

The high rate of divorce in the white community, followed by serial marriage
and single parenting, reflects nothing except the lag between what Imperialism
has done to Africans and the time it takes for the same phenomenon to
appear in the colonizer's society. This is considered "uneven development" but
is in reality uneven underdevelopment. Because of the anti-imperialist Black
Power Movement the gaps between colonized workers and whites -- in unemployment,
wages, health and social problems -- is closing, to the detriment of white workers
and families. They have become just as fragmented as we have been, and we must
use our experience to lead all people out of this mess.

Imperialism conquers societies and divides families surely
as the pattern was set during slavery. Labor is labor, and the
concept of divide and conquer applies to every instance.
If the system can dupe anyone to working on its side even
if only paying lip service, all the better. Without a scientific
class analysis, we have little chance of gaining genuine clarity
and insight over what is happening at all.

I wish people would stop listening to european propagranda that says, "people fight over relgion"! There is only one group of people who fight/kill over religion and that is europeans. This is a historic fact! These people are the only religious nuts! Religion has not divided black people and it does not. I concur with the prior responses and add on that it is the use of Religious concepts as a political tool that assisted Europeans in their conquest. It is all contextual, they used it as a tool particularly since they obviously don't believe in the foolishness themselves. Now we are a spiritual folk as Afrikans but this simply means that we are in tune with ancestral energy and the creative forces around us. Humans structure the religion and the understanding of the God-thought, note I said we forge the understanding not neccesarily the God/dess itself. Yet we are Gods/Goddesses because we are a part of this vibrational energy! Now in my understanding it was superior weaponry alone, and that wicked Aryan intelligence in murder, he is good at that!!
