![]() I heard something about this brother sometime ago, so I’m submitting this web site link about Jim Morris, personal trainer and former competitive bodybuilder not because I think that being bulked up like this is the only optimum physical specimen of being in good shape, or even strength, it is the fact that I was amazed that this brother just tuned 72 (I guess the site is about a year old for it has him as 71), and he is a vegan. This Brother’s story sort of removes many of the myths about aging and the vegan life choice. There is this idea that one cannot build muscle if they are vegetarian or vegan, and meat is necessary to get enough protein into ones diet. If you link through his web site, there is a lot of information about weight training and eating right to be ascertained. Jim Morris Personal Trainer

I'm already heading that path since I was talking to this elder brother who basically had me running as fast as I could just to keep up with him.
This cat basically flew down a flight of stairs and he was 65. So I think I maybe leaving the flesh alone soon.

Very Impressive. This is defiantly impressive to the vegan community as well as others. No, it is not necessary to eat meat or animal products in order to gain muscle. That is very far from the truth. What is most essential is a consistent gym routine and overall healthy diet. Protein can come in many forms including a combination of brown rice, corn, and lentils; a vegan alternative to the “complete protein”.

high protien diets...highly overrated...
Quote:
The powerful beef industry not only made beef the most popular cultural food of choice and a symbol of popular American culture, i.e., the “all-American” hamburger, but I’m sure it also could be researched and found true that the beef industry was very instrumental in making sure that beef was considered a necessary food for optimum health, as in a very high meat-based protein diet, with beef being the “king” of protein. And I wouldn’t be surprised that in some way they (the beef industry) probably directly or indirectly help fund all research that supported findings that promoted a high protein meat-based diet, for this type of relationship between the food industry and medical research is not unusual. And we also know that the beef and dairy industry are naturally connected, so this probably is why milk and cheese also made it into the popular culture, and were also medically accepted within the mainstream of foods deemed necessary for optimum health, and for their high nutritional value.
