I want to start a sticky on cold remedies because you never know when you might come down with a cold.........I know I didn't (getting over one right now)

But post what you got sick people will try any suggestions




My remedy is SLEEP

Ginger tea brewed with fresh ginger and raw honey
SLEEP (cause grating all that ginger expends what little energy I do have when sick)
Fresh fruit- red grapefruit, oranges
SLEEP (Cause getting up to go the fridge...well that energy thing again)
Chicken noodle soup with hella crushed garlic cloves
SLEEP (cause opening the can, crushing garlic..well that energy thing again)

Good suggestions. You can't really treat the cold, you have to treat the symptoms. One of the important things is to remember to eat so that you keep your energy up.

The down souf remedy is gin and lemon juice. Nah j/k. Herbal tea with honey or lemon is a natural remedy.

All of that plus a few spinkles of cayenne added to each (except the citrus fruits, of course!). I also like to add lemon and cayenne to the ginger tea as described above.

Goldenseal tends to "dry me out" if my nose isn't runny or stuffy. Although echinacea is generally used as a preventative measure, it can decrease the duration of the cold.

if youre too lazy to grate the ginger for that tea, then toss it in there whole and strain it. I normally boil garlic in there also, but dr.sebi be droppin all types of horrible info on foods and i believe garlic is one of em. add honey, for taste.

Also keep a bottle of this in the cabinet
