Computer Hate

i feel like knocking on the office door cuz i don't remember being in here b4!

After being on the computer for too many hours i start getting a familiar headache, deep inside, and i know that the morning is gonna be a disaster. Sure enough i wake up with something that resembles a migraine headache, complete with nausea, an aura, and an inability to even focus. i set the monitor as far away as possible and i know that i need Rx glasses (i use the cheap ones at the drugstore for reading).

The only thing that helps right now are bags of ice (um, well, frozen vegetables) and antacid. The time it lasts can vary from one hour to several hours. But is there anything i can take that's naturalistic to get rid of all these symptoms? And better yet, is there anything i can take beforehand when i know i'm gonna be on the computer for several hours?

Looking forward to anything y'all are able to share, sorry if it's already up here and i missed it!

Natty...you really need to get an eye exam. There is no way around that. You'll
be able to save the money that is spent on the economy sized bottles of antacid and thawed out veggies.

Your eyes being out of focus can bring on the feeling of queasiness and dizziness.

Addressing the root of the problem is what is needed here.

The glasses in the drugstore are generally made for magnification of print. It sounds like from your symptoms that your eyes have a bit more going on that requires more than simple magnification.

However..as you wait for your eye appointment you can always make up a batch of ginger beer or ginger tea...ginger root has been used forever for upset stomachs and digestive maladies.

Of course you're right, i've got to stop putting it off and go to an eye dr. i was hoping that i could just make it with the magnifiers but i was thinking that these headaches may be alleviated just by staying off-line more.

You need to relax you eyes first..!
I don't know nothing about how you can take care of them naturally, but appropriate glasses can be a good start..!! Sis' Mamazen is right follow her advice!

There's a 20-20-20 trick that I heard from somewhere. Whenever you're staring at the computer screen for long periods of time look at something 20 ft away for 20 seconds every 20 mins and it takes some of the strain off of your eyes.

I agree with Mamazen, it's probably time for an eye exam. Simply staying away from the computer might not be enough.
