Feminine Products

I don't know if its in anyone's area of interest or studies, but I would like someone to share with our sisters (as I am a brother and I would feel akward) more about the dangers in using store-bought feminine products, as well as the damaging effects of birth control pills on the human system.

I could post some info, but I think it would be meaningful to have firsthand dialogue. This is one of many ways that european capitalists are enslaving people, in particular women.



Update: This thread is going to be duplicated by Rebel Queen into the Queens United Forum. Any woman that wants to discuss in detail anything she finds embarassing or particularly sensitive can go there to add comments or inquire. As a past user of these products, far too many years ago, I can testify the adverse affects these products have on us.

I remembered when 6 rods (birth control implant) was and perhaps still is was placed in the female arm.

Immediately, I said. Why would one desire to have 6 rods to get the 7th ROD (male part)? The word "NO" still works in most cases. There is no flesh that will cause me to go to the edge or the point of no return, and as long as we continue to accept and use these products, the manufactures will add more unnatural products that will surely be only destructive to the mind-set.

It is entrapment.

I can testify, that I am so healthy from not using anything unnatural.

Get a grip my beloved sisters. BE CAREFUL OF WHO DISCOVERS US, for they can use us as they see fit.

I think this is an excellent topic for discussion. In my opinion anything which alters the bodies natural process is dangerous. Birth controls for example are not designed for the body. They can cause many health problems including blood cloths and they also aid in the depletion of certain nutrients that are important for the body. Some side effects include, headaches, significant weight gain, nausea, muscle aches and the list goes on.

As a natural cleanser i use black soap. It can be used to cleanse anything, the body and even to wash your hair. I just got exposed to it about 6 months ago and i love it. It can also be boiled. Here is a site where it can be purchased. Also you can actually find it in certain health stores. Its cut in squares just like regular body soap and is probably easier to use in that form.

Commercial feminine hygiene products used during the menstrual cycle contain cotton and paper that has been bleached and dyed which chlorine, chemicals, and dyes, all of which are harmful. There are some online merchants that sell organic, unbleached and unscented feminine hygiene products. They can also be found in health food stores. The fragrance used to scent these products can contain hundreds of chemicals, some of which may be carcinogenic. Stay away from talc powder, is is carcinogenic and has been linked to reproductive cancer. Mineral oil, petrolatum, petroleum jelly all have adverse health effects. These substances are found not only in feminine hygiene products but also in commerical hair care products, cosmetics, and toiletries. It is important to read labels.

The Dangers of Douching: Many women still run risk of altering the vagina's delicate balance

MONDAY, Jan. 5 (HealthDayNews) -- For years, doctors have warned women that douching is not only unnecessary but it can also be hazardous, upsetting the vagina's natural environment of "good bacteria."

Even so, the practice is still common, reports Mary Ann Iannacchione, a clinical research nurse at Duke University Medical Center, and author of a review article, "The Vagina Dialogues: Do You Douche?" that appears in the January issue of the American Journal of Nursing.

Drawing on the last two National Surveys of Family Growth, a project of the federal government, Iannacchione found the number of women who reported douching as a common practice declined from 1988 to 1995, the latest two surveys available. In 1988, 37 percent of 8,450 participants said they douched regularly; in 1995, 27 percent of 10,857 participants said they did so.

In Iannacchione's view, that percentage is still unacceptably high. Part of the problem, she suspects, might be that the topic of douching is overlooked during routine physical exams at the gynecologist's office. "I think it's a question that is not even asked," says Iannacchione. "It isn't talked about."

In her research, she found some interesting information about who douches and why. For instance, black women are more likely than white or Hispanic women to douche. Poorer women are about twice as likely to douche as those who are more affluent. And those without health insurance are more likely to douche than those who have insurance.

Black women often credit their mothers or other relatives with recommending the practice to them early in life, Iannacchione found.

Of course, advertising may play a role, too. In her research, Iannacchione found an advertisement from 1948 promoting the use of Lysol, the disinfectant, for feminine hygiene and as a cure for "marital problems."

These days, women are more likely to use commercial products for douching than homemade solutions such as vinegar or soap, she found.

Iannacchione got interested in researching the topic while she was investigating risk factors for pre-term birth. "Douching kept coming up [in the medical literature] as a risk factor," she says.

"Douching regularly could increase your risk for infection," Iannacchione tells women who are adamant about continuing the practice. "It can overtake the good bacteria."

In her research, Iannacchione found many reasons women gave for regular douching, including cleanliness, to prevent or control odor or itchiness. Some had the mistaken believe that douching after sex would prevent pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases.

Like Iannacchione, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends against the practice.

"It is better to let the vagina cleanse itself," says ACOG spokesman Greg Phillips. Many factors can affect the normal bacterial balance of the vagina, including douches, antibiotics, spermicides and sexual intercourse, he says.
