Arthritis is the inflam-mation of the joints such as the hands, feet, legs, arms, neck and back. It causes stiffness, sore-ness, pain, deformity and swell-ing. Arthritis can cause a grinding burning pain when the bones rub against each other. This bodily dis-ease is jokingly called Mr. Art Ritis, Mrs. Betty Ritis or the brothers Art and Itis. Nonetheless, this is a dis-ease that strikes all age groups from children to the elderly. Rheumatoid and Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis is a wear-ing

away of the cartilage on the bone surface. Eventually, the bones rub together until they wear away and join together. A typical symptom of arthritis is when the moving of the joints causes a banging, popping and clicking sound. Twice as many women get Rheumatoid arthritis as men. Chlamydia inflammation of the urethra is related to ar-thritis in women. Chlamydia is considered a bacteria type in-fection. In arthritis especially rheumatoid there is fatigue, weight loss, stiffness, fever, swelling, severe pain and anemia. Juvenile arthritis affects six times as many girls as boys. It affects children and teenagers. Incidentally, a severe type of arthritis called Lupus, as well as many other infectious diseases can cause a false Aids positive.

In osteoarthritis the cartilage at the end of the bone wears away, spurs form, an overgrowth of bone grows at the end of the bone and loss of movement are symptoms. Women usually get osteoarthritis three times more than men. Interesting to note,

Africans (Black peoples) anatomically have a larger bone mass than white people. Africans tend to lose more bone mass before the typical caucasian signs and symptoms of disease are noticed by Western Medicine. Africans racistly judged by caucasan bio-chemistry become twice as sick as Whites before they are diagnosed as having arthritis or any other dis-ease. Another type of arthritis is Gouty Arthritis. Gout is usually caused by crystallized uric acid (similar to fine sand) that collects in the big toe or other smaller joints accompanied by swelling.

Arthritis is a degenerative dis-ease. Degenerative diseases are related to and caused by a junk food diet. The 1988 United States Surgeon General's Nutrition and Health Report and the Academy of Rheumatoid Diseased relate degenerative disease to

junk food. The Academy eliminated 80% to 90% of arthritis conditions by getting rid of junk food in the diet.

The junk food diet includes bleached white flour, bleached white sugar, greasy fried foods, red meat, salt, milk and diary products which can cause arthritis. Alcohol, tobacco, non-prescription and prescription drugs, aspartame, and caffeine should be avoided. Along with baking soda. Plants called nightshades should be taken out of the diet. The nightshades rob the body of calcium and interfere with enzymes that brake down waste. Nightshades such as green peppers, tomatoes, potatoes and eggplant contain an irritating toxin called solanine. Without a change in the diet, toxic waste accumulates in the body resulting in arthritis. The waste or liquid slimy manure floats in the blood, reduces the oxygen supply, energy levels, immunity and

causes 90% of all the diseases. In most cases a person with arthritis has an allergic condition. Allergies to food, synthetic chemicals, preservatives, dyes can also cause arthritis. A natural foods diet with fresh fruits, and vegetables, whole wheat,

rye, millet, spouts, yellow grits, avocado, squash, green salads and distilled spring water are necessary. Additionally, 6 or more Black Cherries or Black Cherry juice and/or 12 raw pecans are beneficial for Gouty arthritis.

      Below are some suggested remedies:

      Herbs:

Yucca, Devil's Claw, Cat's Claw, Sassafras, Sarsaparilla, Red Clover, Comfrey, Garlic, Alfalfa, Ginger

      Herbs For Pain:

      White Willow, Feverfew

A typical herbal combination of equal parts of Burdock, Yucca, Cat's Claw, White Willow and Ginger has been useful.

      Supplements:

Vitamin A, B complex, Niacinamide, B12, B6 (for pain), Vitamin E, Calcium and Magnesium, Selenium, Zinc, Manganese, Histidine, Evening Primrose Oil, Lecithin
