CODEX ALIMENTARIUS (Latin for "Food Rules")

Let me ask you if you know anyone who has actually read all 15,000+ pages of the working documents of the Codex Alimentarius Commission? Well, I have. As such, allow me to attempt to put an end to any confusion you may have about Codex Alimentarius by sharing what I have learned and what I believe to be a reasonable and appropriate level of concern.
Following is a summary of what Dr. Laibow found in reading all 15,000+ pages.

The World Trade Association (WTO) is very close to taking away our right to buy, sell or use almost all nutritional supplements. In addition, the ability of physicians to legally practice environmental or natural medicine and the rights of patients to chose these treatments are about to be criminalized here in the United States.

Currently in the U.S. nutrients are classified as foods [under the 1994 Dietary Supplements Health and Education Act (DSHEA)] and any substance not explicitly forbidden is permitted as a nutrient. Under CODEX, any substance not explicitly permitted by CODEX policy is banned as a nutrient. The CODEX preamble specifies that supplements and nutrients "may not be used to prevent, treat or cure any disorder."
Natural health options will become illegal if either of the following occurs:

1) the United States is "harmonized" with the WTO this spring while compliance with CODEX is still "voluntary"
2) total compliance becomes mandatory, as it will be after the next CODEX Commission meeting in Rome July 4-9, 2005.
Once CODEX is implemented, either through "harmonization" or mandatory compliance, we will be forced to follow the European CODEX model in which it will be illegal to manufacture, buy, sell, recommend, or use any but 28 ultra-low dose nutrients whether you are a consumer or a licensed health professional. Only synthetic versions of that short list will be allowed and natural supplements, herbs, enzymes and other non-pharmaceutical treatments will be banned. The only legal health option left will be the pharmaceutical one.

CODEX regulations have been "harmonized" (i.e., approved) in the EU, Canada and Australia. The United States is next unless we act decisively and act now.

On August 1, 2005, 75 percent of the natural substances currently available in health food stores and pharmacies in Europe will become illegal as a direct result of CODEX.

Once implemented, CODEX ALIMENTARIUS does the following:
VITAMINS, MINERAL, NUTRIENTS AND PHYSIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE SUBSTANCES

The European Supplements Directive is the model administrative agency for CODEX and permits a total of 28 ultra-low dose nutrients. All other nutrients?for example, alpha lipoic acid, CoQ10, fish oil, and curcumin?are banned. Vitamin C, for example, at any dosage higher than 200 mg per day will be illegal. CoQ10 will be totally forbidden at any dose.
Only synthetic forms of permitted nutrients will be available. All natural versions will be illegal substances. Only synthetic nutrients (at ultra-low dosages) manufactured by pharmaceutical companies will meet the molecular standards for use in humans or animals.

HERBS AND HERBAL TREATMENTS

The European Supplements Directive has produced a very short list of herbs which may be used and the conditions for which they may be used (another short and very trivial list).
All other applications of herbs and any other herbs besides those listed are strictly forbidden.

TRADITIONAL HEALING ARTS

CODEX stipulates which conditions may be treated using herbs and allows only minor, self-limited conditions. Treating any other conditions with herbal remedies will constitute a crime.

Ayurvedic, Tibetan, tribal and other traditional medicines which use herbs and natural substances will be forbidden world-wide.
Herbal, shamanic, energy based (e.g., Reiki and acupuncture) medicine are forbidden forms of treatment...

Yeah Asafo37 - but imo b4 heated conditions bcome flaming hot, many will be weakened and sick from mega agribusiness' produce that's grown to feed gov't decreed vaccines, vitamins, hormones, nutrients etc.... now's time to begin grow'n our own food/herbs...

I distrust now both major food growers and this medical system.... Former Pres. Botha - who claimed to have learned much of what was done in Azania - said it best; they weren't training doctors to save lives! Nor imo is the food grown to help folk b healthy.

I'm saying also that elemental life needs can and should be worked on, now... beginning in the families, with ea man/wombman/child. Curtis Mayfield sang "Bruthas gon work it out..." well, I say bruthas and sistas MUST work it into their life goals.... sooner than possible.

This society's been brimming in contradictions since day one of its existence!!! The contradictions histories are older than Europe's naming.

Right at this moment in NEW DELHI India The Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Subodh Kant Sahai has released a guidebook on '14-point check on Food Safety for Street vended Foods' based on guidelines of the Codex Alimentarius that is planed to be put in full affect worldwide December 31 next year 2009…this a few months away brothers and sisters… This legislation in India also means that the farmers would need to be trained and made aware of what this codex is calling “good” agricultural practices. School children are seen as part and parcel of consumers and will be targeted by this miseducation mass feeding programmes in the country like many in Africa will be audited for food safety. India is just a trial example…this code is planed to CONTROL your daily bread that you sweat and slave for.

WHAT THE CODEX WILL BRING

Dietary supplements could not be sold for preventive (prophylactic) or therapeutic use.

Potencies would be limited to extremely low dosages. Only the drug companies and the big phytopharmaceutical companies would have the right to produce and sell the higher potency products (at inflated prices).

Prescriptions would be required for anything above the extremely low doses allowed (such as 35 mg. on niacin)

Common foods such as garlic and peppermint would be classified as drugs or a third category (neither food nor drugs) that only big pharmaceutical companies could regulate and sell. Any food with any therapeutic effect can be considered a drug, even benign everyday substances like water

Codex regulations for dietary supplements would become binding (escape clauses would be eliminated)

All new dietary supplements would be banned unless they go through Codex testing and approval

Genetically altered food would be sold worldwide without labelling so you will be consuming GM food without being given the choice to reject it or accept it

This policy will be FORCED on you by the shitstem…Racism is a problem INI face, as well and mental and spiritual oppression but without the RIGHT to a Ital and clean balanced diet your mind will become muddied and easily manipulated.

I know this subject does not seem of much importance in the condition we are in Family but we have to fight this attack. When HATE controls the very Mama Earth we need to live they will exterminate us…

The sh!t is a hydra, you can't really tell it's IG Farben, because of the multiple & numerous merger & fusions.
The merger you are referring to happened in 1999. In fact Aventis was 'born' after Rhône-Poulenc Rorer merged with Hoechst Marion Roussel, the latter formed after the fusion between Hoechst & American Marion Merrell Dow and french Roussel-Uclaf.

But since then Aventis has been absorbed by Sanofi-Synthélabo. It's now called Sanofi-Aventis, the 4th monster-giant of the pharmaceutical industry behind Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline and Roche. I told you it's a hydra. They got a plant just three miles from my place.

But note that Aventis agro-chemical branch (Aventis CropScience) has been sold to BAYER in 2002. Besides Mosanto ( with its 2 billions $ record breaking profit this year), there is Bayer CropScience to keep an eye on too.

Those are the people that are poisoning us, they have no frontiers, no barriers, and they will let us starve to death if we don't take care of them.
