Chemical Warfare: What Every Sista Should Know

      0 Not allowed! Not allowed!

For reasons of mass destruction and greed, Corporate demons, have created yet another product that causes irreparable damage, since it is something that all sistah's require during their reproductive years, it has to be addressed. The Manufactures of tampons and sanitary napkins are utilizing hazardous materials to produce these sanitary products. Traces of asbestos, Rayon, used for absorbency, and Dioxin to name the more blatant ones, have been found in these products. The combination, of even the most minute traces of these substances are toxic causing woman to bleed longer, (amongst other things) which translates to a higher bottom line for these companies. The more you have to use, the more you have to buy...($$$ Cha-Ching)

Dioxin is one of the most toxic human-made chemicals known. Once released into the environment, it is persistent because natural bacteria cannot effectively break it down. In the case of paper products (tampons and sanitary napkins) it is used as a bleaching agent. Also because of environmental pollution, animals are exposed. Dioxin concentrates in the fatty tissues of beef and dairy cattle, poultry, pork or seafood, becoming even more of a danger for those who consume these animals...(a tid-bit for meat eaters) Dioxin has been linked to a host of ills ranging from immune system suppression and infertility to learning disabilities — and has now just been officially linked to cancer. The National Toxicology Program announced last year that dioxin has been added to a federal list of substances "known to be human carcinogens."

Dioxin has been known to be a contributor to Endometriosis, a disease affecting women in their child bearing years, affecting the ovaries, the fall opian tubes, the ligaments supporting the uterus, the outer surface of the uterus, and the lining of the pelvic cavity. Forty to 50 percent of the growths are in the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Rayon contributes to the danger of tampons and dioxin because it is a highly absorbent substance. Therefore, when fibers from the tampons are left behind in the vagina, which occurs frequently with tampon use, it creates a breeding ground for the dioxin. With all this known about these toxins, it should be quite evident why it is used in the manufacturing of a products. Behold we see another market that kills two birds with one stone so to speak...they come off most lovely financially while sistah's are slowly bleeding to death.

Remedies of these illz are not cut and dry, since there are other contributory factors that cause sistah's to have severe gynecological illnesses as the ones previously mentioned and minor ailments such as yeast and bladder infections. Of course the obvious would be stop using tampons, and seek out natural unbleached cotton products. If we all get into the mindset that anything lily white should be left alone, since it means that it had to be submerged in vats of bleach to become that way, we'd be better off. The foods we consume, without a doubt, also contribute to a heavier menstrual cycle. A diet enriched with flesh, white sugar, and other consumable toxins cause sistah's to have prolonged excruciating menstrual cycles. Which is only the best of news for the manufacturers of these products and the drug pushers who push "period relief" pills such as MIDOL, PAMPRIN, to serve as a temporary quick fix to a problem to divert your attention that your womb is becoming diseased (evidence that one industry does look out for the other).

It isn't a coincidence that these companies have sought tamper with our wombs, the source of life, while accumulating millions of dollars to do so. We are paying them to manipulate our bodies and attempt to alter our pro-creation. Our-story has taught, through experience, that when a nations females are negatively impacted, that will most definitely assure a genocidal eruption crippling an already weakened people.

      Greetings everyone,

I like to say that I hears similar information a few years back and i was informing every female that I knew. Many looked at me as if I lost my mind but what I was telling them about these products was true. You could also get TSS toxic shock syndrome also. Furthermore, i would just like to say great post. It was very informative and it made take an even closer look at myself and my choices about feminine hygiene products. Also, as Akyeame Kwame stated, Seventh Generation is a great company as well.

      Asante.
      Peace to my African family.....

Peace, I read about this several years ago and made every effort to find and use 100% cotton products. The most accessible products were the 7th generation products sold in health food stores, only they are SUPER expensive. There are some websites with some cheaper alternative like the cup and re-useable napkins, but I don't know about you, sistas but YUCK.
Please post if anyone sees a site to order cheaper all cotton products
