Not really because I've been thinking about cutting my locks for quite some time. I've had them for five years but I came to a point in my life where it was time for a new beginning. Plus my locs have been expose to all type of different vibrations. My Rasta people use to always tell me to keep'em covered. So when I finally took those scissors and cut my locs, when I was done I felt a sense of purity, my head felt lighter not because I cut my locs but it felt like I've removed all the unwanted vibes that I picked up over time.

There are moments when I miss having locs but have no regrets. In the future I do plan on growing my hair back out but for now, I'm just going to keep it clean.

Wearing a natural hairstyle doesn't necessarily imply consciousness. I've known sisters to have perms and even weaves but still have conscious intentions. Personally, I prefer to be natural and have been doing so for ten years.

I can understand this, I cut my locs as well. Like you, I did it myself.
