Ghanaian women advised to stop bleaching
The Managing Director of House of Jude Cosmetics-Ghana, Mr. Bernard Annoh has urged Ghanaian women to stop applying cosmetics that contains bleaching substances on their skins. He said most of the cosmetics on the market contain hydroquinone and alcohol which cause havoc to the human skin.

Speaking to the press at the opening of Radiant Glow Cosmetics Show room in Accra, Mr. Annoh noted that a lot of African women ignorantly apply such cosmetics on their skin. He therefore urged them to use the cosmetics that contain natural ingredients capable of restoring the natural beauty of their skin than causing havoc to them. He said Radiant Glow cosmetics are among the best cosmetics that contain natural ingredients meant to protect the human skin and give it a unique beauty.

The aim of introducing these products into the African market, he said, is to educate African women on the dangers of bleaching.

Radiant Glow cosmetics are manufactured by Radiant Glow Botanical Company base in the United Kingdom. The cosmetics consist of a synergistic combination of natural ingredients that fight against skin blemishes and rejuvenate the human skin.

Natural ingredient such as tea tree, infused wild crafted herbs, witch hazel, aloe vera, vitamin E, sugarcane extract, lactose, mushroom extract, citrus extract and goat milk are contained in the Radiant Glow cosmetics.

Greetings Everyone!

This is the effects of slavery. This is the effects of colonialism.
This is the effects of self mutilation.

They don't need to be advised to stop bleaching their skin, they need to be put into classes that teach them how to stop hating themselves. How to have pride and a sense of respect for self and race.

This is why fighting the battle of oppression, racism, and anything anti-Afrikan has to be a priority for all our people.

If in 2005 this madness is still going on with adults, then what hope or future does Afrikan children have globally. How does Afrikan children feel when they see their mothers bleaching their skin to look lighter.

Someone is telling these women they like or love them even though they are engaging in this anti-Afrikan practice. And where are the Afrikan men in this equation?

Actions speak louder than words. They can dress in all the Afrikan garb the mother land provides, speak the languages, but yet they have no problem trying to be like yt.

This is why I make no bones about my dislike for what the oppressor has done to our people. This is why I say we have to stand up and fight. This is why I say the way we view ourselves is still based on how we think yt feels about us. And we want to say we are conscious.

Consciousness begins with knowing self, heritage and culture with respect for all these aspects of the Afrikan way of life.

Thousands of years have gone by, hundreds of years has passed since slavery was so called abolished, but our people still cannot rid themselves of the behaviors of our oppressors. as always it seems as if we love the enemy more than ourselves.

We insist on letting yt dictate for us how we live our lives. All our views of self is based on an european image. We find no beauty in ourselves, art, history or culture unless it gets the approval from the white man.

Keep integrating with those white folks. Keep loving those white folks. Keep trusting those white folks and by the time Afrikans realize the damage being done to them, THERE WILL NOT BE ANY BLACK FOLKS!

This stuff sickens me to the core. This stuff is so shameful. This stuff is unacceptable. This stuff makes our youths doubt themselves, and the value of their life. This kind of stuff takes the future hopes and visions out of the eyes of Afrikan children. This is just plain sad.

When is the self-hatred going to end?! It will end when all Afrikans worldwide embrace their natural beauty and completely reject Europeanized standards of beauty. Once that occurs, all of the perm, relaxer, and skin bleaching producers with their chemical-laden toxic products will go bankrupt! Some Afrikan women have even taken to have plastic surgery to make their noses straighter and lips thinner. Like Donna Summer said "enough is enough!"

We were not meant to have pale skin and straight hair! Some Afrikans do but they had no control over that, like during the times of slavery when the plantation owners and overseers sexually abused Afrikan women. Some of these women bore children fathered by such beasts. All Afrikans are beautifut, whether we have dark skin or light skin or curly hair or straight hair.

We all need to start loving ourselves, inside and out, unconditionally because we are queens (and kings) like India.Arie said in her song "Video."

I know I commented on this a few posts back, but this is the type of stuff that gets to the core of me, because there is no real honest way to explain how deep the seed of self hate is imprinted into our being as Afrikans.

I still can't believe this madness is going on. I swear Afrikan children should start checking in all their sick parents into the madhouse for some of the nonsense we as Afrikan adults are continuing to do to self destruct....

I am pissed....
