A call to Africans,

Once again white supremacists are attempting to
distort and appropriate (steal) African history.
Egypt, the pinnacle of cultural achievement of the
ancient world, and the foundation of modern
philosophical thought, has long been the target of
theft, by both racist Arabs and Europeans, in their
quest to claim it's origins.

Not willing to recognize Egypt's obvious African
beginnings, they have continually engaged in dishonest
and devious attempts to alter the African face of
Egypt. Their most recent attempt involves an
incredulous reconstruction of the face of King
Tutankhamen, where he is made to look like a white man
albeit with an African head (dolichocephalic).

In fact, racist white scientist Andreas Retzius
purposely coined the term dolichocephalic, to
distinguish African shaped heads from European shaped
ones (brachycephalic), though both shapes can be found
amongst African people. An online encyclopedia gives
this description of the term:

"DOLICHOCEPHALIC (long-headed), a term invented by
Andreas Retzius to denote (as opposed to "
brachycephalic ") those skulls the diameter of which
from side to side, or the transverse diameter, is
small in comparison with the longitudinal diameter or
that from front to back. Retzius, though inventing the
term, did not define it precisely. Paul Broca applied
it to skulls having a cephalic index of seventy-five
and under, and this limit is generally adopted.
Dolichocephaly, according to Retzius, was the
distinctive cranial feature of the earliest
inhabitants of Europe. To-day it is characteristic of
the negro races, of the Papuans, the Polynesians and
the Australians, though among the negritos and some of
the pigmy races of Africa brachycephalic skulls are
the rule. Of the yellow races the Eskimo is the most
dolichocephalic. Of white races the Arabs and Kabyles
of Algeria, and the Guanchos of the Canary Islands,
are most notable for dolichocephalic tendency.
Dolichocephaly is sometimes frontal, as among adult
whites, sometimes occipital or confined to the back of
the head, as among inferior negro-races, Australians,
Papuans and newly-born whites."

Racist references aside, despite the obvious African
shape of King Tut's head, the African characteristics
of the face on his burial mask, remarkably, his face
was reconstructed to be that of a none African. We are
not going to accept this!

We are appealing to those of you who care about
protecting and defending our history, our culture and
our legacy, to join us in this campaign in challenging
the sponsors and promoters of the up-coming US King
Tut exhibits. To demand that they represent and
respect ancient Egyptian as the African creation that
it obviously was.
