Up Is Down - Down Is Up For Some Of Us

"Anyone who is superficially familiar with ancient Egyptian civilization should by now be aware of a very curious quirk in the orientation of the Egyptian people who refer to Southern Egypt as Upper Egypt and Northern Egypt as Lower Egypt. How many people have ever thought about the implicaitons of that datum?

What does one do with it?

What we have done is what reason dictates, and that is to invert the map to its proper position, to correct for the fact that the most ancient well-known civilization equated South with up and North with down. Thus, Asia is to the left of Egypt, not above it and what is now called the Sudan (the old Ethiopia) is above Egypt. Indeed, the major words for up and south are interchangeable....The usefulness of this spatial context can readily be seen.

It means that one of the problems with most Black intellectuals up to now is that they have been standing on their heads in order to view things from the Eurocentric perspective. It is now time for us to stand on our feet as men and women and see the world rightly constructed."

This is so true. I realized things were "upsidedown" when I got to the "Research Game". Here, I found out in order to complete the degree process and obtain the coveted "PhD", I had to stand on my head and walk.

This is done when you begin to apply the theories of mathematics; STATISTICS to the whole pile of crap they have fed you.

In the Eurocentric view, once you have identified, evaluated, critiqued, planned and set the course of your "argument" or "position", have backed it up with research in terms of who said what, when, where, and how, that is; after you have "proved" your position on any given topic = "STANDING ON YOUR HEAD cause you have to hold your tongue to the fact that the crap you just "learned" was a bunch of dey bs lies. yet, you know this and keep quiet...so you can get the degree, so you can get a "good job" and make mommie and daddy proud cause you did what they told you do, cause you did what the ancestors fought and died for you to do....you keep quiet

the research game says told me i had to count the people and their problems in order to REALLY PROVE just what the cause of thier pain using statistical measures and concepts such as "re~gression" to the mean (or middle ground). = WALKING WHILE STANDING ON HEAD

Brother Baba Ahmed this knowledge has strong metaphysical and spiritual ramifications. I remember coming across this truth, in my studies back in the day. Its amazing how the truth is right in front of so many of our people and we rarely perceive it. Not only does the south represent the top of the world, but any etymological book or unabridged dictionary will also reveal that the word “north� means –below, under, lower, beneath and at last the “underworld�. If you view this revelation in the context of history, mythology or other spiritual sciences, you may get an entirely different interpretation of things.

The Hon. Elijah Muhammad, use to tell us all, if the white man goes left, you go right…if he says up, then look down…if he says the north, than look to the south and on and on…and so on and so forth. It was a simple lesson, which I found to be useful as a primer in the most important and in-depth investigations of truth.
