Justice for Nadra and POCC Events

> "Justice for Nadra Foster" Community Planning Meeting – On Wednesday September 24th at 6pm, we will discuss how to move forward with the Justice for Nadra Movement. We will discuss the $5000 Nadra needs as a retainer for a lawyer, we will discuss her next Sept. 26th court date, we will discuss the KPFA Fund Drive now in full swing, we will discuss the CR 10 Conference and how that can be used to the Justice for Nadra Movement's benefit, and we will also discuss the cultural fundraiser.

> On Sunday, September 28th at 4pm, there will be a "Ujima" fundraiser for Nadra Foster. This will primarily be a cultural event where artists will perform and we will get donations to help Nadra pay off her legal and medical bills. Rappers East Bay Politix will perform, Traci Bartlow will be dancing, as well as Ray Ryda will be rapping. This event was organized to take advantage of the thousands of activists who will be converging on Oakland for CR10. This event will be hosted by the Block Report's Minister of Information JR, and members of the 1st Voice Apprenticeship Program.

> On Saturday September 27th at 6pm the Prisoners of Conscience Committee will be hosting a panel on "International Solidarity: with political prisoners in the U.S." which will include the likes of the POCC's own Chairman Fred Hampton Jr, the chairwoman of the International Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia Abu Jamal Pam Africa, Ramona Africa of the MOVE organization, and Julia Wright, the daughter of legendary writer Richard Wright.
