I have "skimmed" through it, but I haven't had time to sit down and read it like I want to. I'm not too worried about having the time to read it though because her book is on the Pre-Cadre reading list (wait...I think it's the Cadre reading list. I'm not sure) for the A-APRP's ideological training guidelines, so I know there will be a time where I HAVE to read it

Rebel Queen, I haven't read it but definitely will. It's one of those (many) books that I saw on my parents' bookshelf when I was (a little) younger, but never really thought about reading it myself until recent. I'm gonna have to pilfer a few items from their rich shelves when I visit next.
rebelafrica, what other books are on the A-APRP's pre-cadre reading list? Is it posted anywhere? Peace.

I had read halfway through it some months ago. I was very inspired. Unfortunately I had checked it out from my local library and time passed and it was long overdue, but I never finished it, but I am planning to purchase it this month. I can't believe I let time pass like that.

I read the book maybe 3 weeks ago after she was brought to my attention I saw it in a bookstore, read the back and bought it , read the first page and finished it in a week the book spoke to me personally the things she said if your eyes are open and you see what's going on and you don't do anything about it then you a punk!.....that made up my mind for me about showing that I love my people through action and not just talk....I'm just happy that she's still on this earth and still fighting for me , so i gotta do the same
Peace & Blessings Afrikans

Reading it now
Peace Afrikans! I am finishing up Assata's autobiography now and it is truly an inspiration. I am thankful for true revolutionaries like her so that we are able to think deeper and realize the truth about what is really happening out here. Thank you, Assata for your love and dedication to the people.

I've been reading it. I just got through reading chapter four last night. The part where she described how that boy kept trying to sleep with her as an "all night wrestling match"...LOL!!! Also the part where she was making those weird noises (when she was locked up) and the pigs out on the yard didn't know where the noises were coming from and they were stumbling over each and jumping on the ground and crawling around with their flashlights...LOL!!!
