Peace,
I just finished reading this joint and I must recommend it to all African Americans because it is one of the best fiction books I've read that exposes the system. You gotta check it for yourself if you haven't already.

You should also see the movie on DVD. It is well worth it. You will not be dissappointed
"Life is about Death - It is a fight for survival to the very end. ." Sadiku
"Who wants equality with murderers, thieves, rapists, cheaters, liars,
grave robbers, baby killers, baby stealers, savages, brutes and beasts?
Who wants equality with the devil himself?" - Sadiku
"Who wants to integrate [into] a burning house?" - James Baldwin
"Nobody can give you freedom. Nobody can give you equality or
justice or anything. If you're a man, you take it." - Malcolm X

I just finished reading the book. I really enjoyed it but I seemed Dan didn't want to see the end result, only to start the revolution, did he really prepare himself to watch everyone around him die? The revolution is not glamorous, it seemed he wanted to give up before it even got under way.
I still have to get the movie.
peace.
