Whether it's iTunes or Youtube I'm sitting here right now in my own mind listening to somebody saying something about something I'm feeling.

Music has a way of speaking to you through you with you and for you in ways you can't. I think when Hoover thought that pushing young Afrikan kids to by Entertainers he couldn't forsee the way music can speak to the young minds of our youth.

You can change emotions from the beat of a song. Laugh with joy at the impact of a songs vibe to the rhythm of your body. Most of all the lyrics of a song can make you think. Once that hook catches you and if it speaks on something real, you feel you can move mountains.

There where things going on I realize now. There was 'a beat going on'. World wide brothers where fighting for independence, or were in the day by day struggle as 2nd class citizen in racist societies and regimes in the diaspora.
