Humpty Dumpty...A Black Man!?

I originally wrote this post in my other blog, but I was curious of what my family here thinks!



Funny, but not.



A lot of us, over the years, have argued about if Jesus was a Black man or not. I have a much more important theory to express...Humpty Dumpty is a Black man!

We all know the nursery rhyme...

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the kings men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

If you think about it, and break down each line...you'll know exactly what I'm saying. Here, I'll do it for you.


"Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall..."

Africa was the home of the most celebrated cultures of the ancient world. Timbuktu, Kemit, Kush, all of these are known to have been far more advanced than any other civilizations of their time. When the ancient Greeks wanted to know more about medicine, they went to Africa. When the Romans needed help with complex mathematics, they went to Africa. Spirituality, Architecture, History...all sought out in Africa. Africa was once the most elevated of all societies. Africa was, as the phrase goes, on top of the world!


"Humpty Dumpty had a great fall..."

When Europeans entered Africa and began to divide it amongst themselves, and when they decided that we were inferior according to their own culture, and when they decided to use us and trade us as a commodity...Africa had a great fall. Simply put, the European conquest RUINED the great civilizations of Africa (they DID, however, have much help from the Persians. The Europeans merely finished what the Persians began). They destroyed our culture, separated us from our families, and shipped us around the world. It was a GREAT fall. Now we're known as the bottom of the bottom, worldwide. Not only have many of our cultures been lost, but in many cases our will has been broken.


"All the king's horses, and all the kings men..."

White, western, Christian culture runs the world right now. They make the decisions as to who does what, when, where, and for how long.


"Couldn't put Humpty together again..."

It's like taking the freshest lemons, leaving them in the sun to wilt and spoil, then trying to dust them off and still make lemonade. Once you destroy the very fabric of a man's existence (his family, culture, spirituality, etc.) you destroy his spirit. Then, when you attempt to give him YOUR culture, values, etc...you completely change the man. The 'king's men' killed the African, but saved the man.

The only way Humpty can become whole again is by, first, realizing that he is down. He must realize that the way the king wants him rebuilt will only favor the king. True, Humpty will never be the same, but he can come very close. After this realization occurs, Humpty must begin to work on himself. He has to find all of the broken pieces that he can and put them back together. He must rebuild his family values, his pride, his will, and his culture. But to put these pieces together, he must have some glue. The glue that holds all of the pieces together is his OWN spirituality (not the spirituality that was used to push him off the wall in the first place!). With his connection to the Creator in the way it was intended for him to connect, he will easily be able to reconstruct himself. Once he put himself back together, he has two more steps left. He must climb back on the wall. Humpty must take control over the industries that the Creator has blessed him with. He must take back his oil, minerals, metals, etc. With this kind of economic empowerment, he will be able to take his rightful place on top of the wall (and do the Humpty Hump aka do it HIS way!). Finally, Humpty must now reinforce his shell! He cannot afford to have another invasion such as the first, but rest assured, he will be attacked until the very end!
