    Hands off Assata!
    By Beatriz Aiffil

My spelling-book of illiterate child already doesn’t begin in “A” of simple spider (araña in Spanish), not even the syllable “Ne” has the profile of a blacky (negrito) drawn in the old Spanish spelling-book.
The new “A” belongs to the hero Anansi, the spider god, son of Nyame and Assase Ya.
An extraordinary big black man, venerated for the Ashanti, with giraffe neck for the effect of necklaces, with immense hands creative of the sky, with the same ones he made concave the pubis of the shameless moon and distributed the Sun as two golden earring in his ears.
Anansi, thief of stories, has sight that nobody has sight and carries with him the sensual dagger, that I saw, yes I do, in my frenzies of unsatisfied maiden with the readings of Spiderman's tales. Spiderman really was a boy provided with superpower thanks to the nosedive of a radioactive spider. His parents had been agents of the CIA, what about it?
But by the “A”, also abolition and apartheid begin. In the “A” the African men and women are, the afrodescendants are… And Assata is, Assata Shakur, sister queen, Great Sistah.
    Newyorker Queen Assata Warrior Queen.
Chased by demons of shaggy and long hoofs whose scientific name is gringos by the G, inheritors of the P from pirates like Morgan and Francis Drake. Chased by define herself like freedom fighter, Assata Shakur, maroon who is protected nevertheless by the brothers Ashanti of the Cuba palenque, Anansi’s sons, grandsons of Nyame and Assase Ya.
MamAssata, warrior queen. Black panther (Pantera negra in spanish) rests now on the syllable “Ne” where was that black object man, not human, of the old times and she recites him his civil laws. From then on, everything is quilombo everything is rochela. And sometimes cumbe.
In the “E”, the elephant continues being but also the slavery (Esclavitud). Chains and the shackles (Grillos) sound for the “G” of gringos. Up to coming to the words that begin for the letters that were more hard we to learn. On the “Ñ” we plant the ñáñigos of the Abakuá, in the “X” the xenophobia and the ku-klux-klan with blood enters the “K”. In the “Y” with yuba Yoruba we receive you and the Uhuru in the “U” for Assata, Uhuru swahili that is the freedom.

    Hands off Assata!

Y está Assata, Assata Shakur, reina hermana, Great Sistah.*
    Niuyorquina Queen Assata Warrior Queen.
Y a veces cumbe.
