I'm up 2 in the morning listening to music.
Whether it's iTunes or Youtube I'm sitting here right now in my own mind listening to somebody saying something about something I'm feeling.

Music has a way of speaking to you through you with you and for you in ways you can't. I think when Hoover thought that pushing young Afrikan kids to by Entertainers he couldn't forsee the way music can speak to the young minds of our youth.

You can change emotions from the beat of a song. Laugh with joy at the impact of a songs vibe to the rhythm of your body. Most of all the lyrics of a song can make you think. Once that hook catches you and if it speaks on something real, you feel you can move mountains.

I'll never be a rapper, probably never bring up the courage to sing in front of a crowd BUT I know somehow somewhere MUSIC will play a big role in the rest of my life.

I know I'm losing sleep to listen to any and every song I discover I have in my CD case.

Yes Ja!! music and words have something very powerfull and spiritual about them, when produced by the correct person.
Some may not agree, but I constantly hear musicians say if you dont have a good heart the music you create wont touch the poeple's hearts either.
well, it may not work exactly like that, but its true, some singers/musicians just have a way to put their soul on their music and you can feel it like you know them personally.

I think you might not have the courage to sing in front of a crowd, but knowing your skills, you should at least have the generosity of speaking to a crowd! i'd pay my ticket!

Yay! I get to share another quote. Maya Angelou once said, "Music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and curl my back to loneliness."
