Feb 1, today marks the start of Black History month. This is the month to hear about Black inventors, social figures, and Black first. While I had intentions of posting something else about Black History, and maybe I’ll get back on that subject, but the phrase, “Black first” quickly made me think of that Malcolm X speech Message to the Grassroots speech where he says,

Part 1: A couple of days ago I was at Mukasa Dada's (aka Papa Ricks) house and he brought up a point in passing about how Dr. Martin Luther King Jr taught the SNCC workers about Africa.
