FoxNews.com TEHRAN, Iran — Iran has signed a $1.76 billion deal with China to develop the North Azadegan oil field in southwestern Iran near the Iraq border, the country's official news agency reported.
The deal was signed Wednesday between the National Iranian Oil Company and the China National Petroleum Corp., according to a report by the Islamic Republic News Agency.
Iran's Oil Minister Gholam Hossein Nozari said the field has an estimated 6 billion barrels of crude oil and will produce 75,000 barrels of oil per day for 25 years.
In December 2007, China's biggest refiner, Sinopec, signed a $2 billion agreement with Iran to develop another Iranian oil field, the Yadavaran.
The deals illustrate China's strong business ties with Iran despite U.S. pressure over the Iranian nuclear program.
- Isn't Iran still an Axis of Evil?
- Are the Chineses terroist for investing in Iran?

Saturday, November 17, 2007 Celebrities Dissing Dollars?
It's no secret the U.S. dollar has been taking a hit in recent days.
(See: U.S. Dollar Hits Record Low). As the dollar recently hit historic lows, Jay Z released a video for his single Blue Magic in which he flashes a briefcase full of 500 euro notes, as opposed to dollars, while cruising the streets of New York.
It has also been reported that one of the world's richest supermodels Gisele Bundchen has opted to be paid in euros instead of dollars. However, her spokeswoman denied that Bundchen was spurning the dollar and stated that the supermodel prefers to be paid in the currency of a job's location.
I say again, "If a dollar's not worth a dollar, then
what's a dollar?"
