The Whirlwind Conference and UNIA-ACL Mass Meeting April 23rd & April 24th, 2005

North Carolina Central University Durham, North Carolina

The Garvey Whirlwind Conference organized by the Turner Tubman Division 459 of the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities
League/UNIA-ACL in Durham North Carolina is calling on all members of the
African Race to take part in this historic gathering and to rejoin the Race in a
manner in which you were never apart. This calling was inspired by the words of Dr. Chancellor Williams and the challenge to rebuild the UNIA-ACL by numbers of members in the south of the usa and the world by Hon. Redman Battle newly elected President General and Administrator of the UNIA-ACL in August 2004.

The President of Div. 459 Bro. Cimmarron Reid Bandele along with the North Carolina UNIA-ACL membership, decided to organize this and invite some of the members of the UNIA-ACL Parent Body whom have demonstrated the UNIA-ACL in them and their works, words and deeds. Dr. Tony Martin and Dr. Runoko Rashidi whom have traveled all over the world demonstrating the same call Garvey made for Africans at home and abroad to rise up and become more self reliant, self determined, and focused on building our own race first foundation are presenters at this conference along with the Minister of Education Bro. Umar Abdullah Johnson, 3rd Assistant President General Bro. Senghor Jawara Baye EL and the Hon. Redman Battle the President General of the UNIA-ACL.

This is an opportunity to come here from some of the best Garveyites of our time on the Black Print and what we all must do to uplift our condition in the 21st century.

To learn more about Garvey and the UNIA-ACL. To join the UNIA-ACL in your area and to charter divisions, if none are in your area to help in the self-determination of African Racial development. The UNIA-ACL is the grandfather of Pan African Nationalism (since 1914) and still alive and building for the 21st century.

The presenters will share information, facts and history with those whom attend. This is not a come and get lifted conference, it is a call for you to come join and share as well the role you are going to play in this collective process in motion. We have many great talkers but so few who seem ready to walk the walk together in functional Unity. There will be many other calls like this for Whirlwind Conferences on Garveyism around the country and world in coming times.

This is one of the first and a great time to come enjoy, experience, get more involved in your own racial upliftment and development for yourselves and future generations. Africa for Africans Those at home and those abroad! Garvey lives in our works, words and deeds today, as we continue the works, words and deeds of our ancestors, Garvey and the UNIA-ACL of the 20th century.

A Donation of $20.00 is being asked and a discount of $10.00 for Students with ID

There will be Vendors with great products, Inner attainment, and an opportunity to network with others of like minds before and after the conference. The conference will be held at North Carolina Central University April 23rd, 2005 2 PM to 6 PM Registration is at 12 noon and for more information call 919-683-5428 or 919-491-5399 email uniaacl459@aol.com http://www.unia-acl.org
