The focus
The Black Liberator’s Army is a revolutionary organization dedicated to improving the social-economical conditions of the African and Afro-Hispanic communities within the greater area of Detroit. The B.L.A has subdivided its areas of concern into 5 groups: Identity, Education, Employment, Housing, and Health.
Identity:
Identity entails the rebuking of racist ideologies, governmental policies, or systems of practice that lower positive self concept and standard of life.
Education:
The propagation of purposeful education that enables our people to effectively address the social-economical conditions that affect our community.
Employment:
The development of opportunities that promote self-reliance and self-sufficiency,
individually and communally.
Housing:
Securing adequate land and housing for the re-development of the community. Thus, eliminating predatory exploitation practices.
Health:
Research and development of adequate health
care facilities that are affordable and address
the health issues facing the community.
