Mauritanians are largely Moor or Moor/black (instert Sahelian ethnic group), and not Arabic. They do speak a dialect closely linked to traditional Arabic, it is called Hassaniya. Slave trading goes on in Niger among the Tuareg (a Berber clan) and in the Horn among various Cushitic tribes. You forgot to mention those countries/regions.
