Ms. Milebs and Ms. Devereueawax will share techniques for successfully applying to, attending and graduating from any college. They will also concentrate on what young Black women must do to navigate the "traps" of college life.
America has turned into an "Educate or Die!" society. There are very few good jobs for people who do not have a college education. Ms. Milebs and Ms. Devereueawax will encourage, inspire and motivate young Black women to attend college. They will also give them a road map for college success.
Finally, they will talk about graduating from college with a social consciousness that leads young Black college graduates as working professionals back to their communities to help others travel the path that leads to education and success.
DC Picture Please be aware that the topic of sex might come up in these discussions. We will handle this topic in a tasteful, professional way.
All workshops are free but space is limited, so please RSVP by March 27, 2008, to Catherine Jackson at 773.285.9600.
