Looking for my Brothers and Sisters in Chicago

There are many (for lack of a better word) organizations even in Chicago, However I live on the West side and I find nothing really going on over here. I am trying to organise and share what little i know as well as recruit those who do know that we can get our message out. We want to teach and develop programs to build us up as part of the whole collective if anyone would care to join me and help with your knowledge teaching skills and orgssnixzational skills please email me even if you feel you have no skills we need you to so you may know and develope your skills

Consider the fact that maybe there are no Africans from the West Side of Chicago on this messge board. Maybe thats the case. Maybe also you should "pound the pavement" (instead of the keyboard) if you are trying to organize folks (which is what I do). Maybe you should check out the South Side instead of the West Side. You cain't tell me it aint no Africans on the South Side of Chicago

You are right Brother in that I should pound the pavement, this what I am doing soon as I get my leaflets or notices printed up. However As I stated in the first post there are groups on the south side that only seem to be concerned with the south side. I am part of one although I haven't been in a while, I would like to see things on the west side as well we have nothing going on as far as I know on the west side. I live on the west side and think the west side should be organized as well. The south side is the south side for lack of a better way to put it Chicago is somewhat clickish South siders seem only to be concerned with the south side which is a problem that is in my opinion the reason we have nothing in place on the west side feel me and maybe you don't I am glad that you are organized or an organizer I am learning how. [FONT=Verdana][COLOR=Blue]I had to speak up about this one Brother the South Side is here and alot of us are willing and able to change the conditions on both the south and west side,it's up to us to get this thing poppin, my question is how will we go about this, I have for some time now I've been searching for ways to get the message out there that Black folks in the chi no matter what side we from all have one common goal and that's to make things better for our people in Chicago and all across this world i don't have much experience organizing but I am willing to help in any way let me know what's your plan of action and how we can get the south side and west side united and organized so that we can stop with all these assumptions about what south siders feel about west siders and vice versa contact me on aol,yahoo, or msn
