Among other things, the resolution calls for ACILS to open its books on past abuses by the Solidarity Center and its predecessor the American Institute for Free Labor Development (AIFLD) in the coup against President Allende in Chile in 1973, the recent failed coup against Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, and its’ contacts with the Venezuelan opposition, and similar activities in Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Africa.
