As they are trying to close schools n our nieghborhoods (all part of regentrification) we are fighting and making noise. Anyone living on the West side South side in Chicago I ask that you attend a meeting @
Bleesed Sacrament Church (the only building that opened to us) @

Cermak we are trying to get as many people out as we can so as to make noise, We have contacted the media and we are Protesting the cloing of Howland School which will have a domino affect in our community The Meetin again will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church 3600 W. Cermak corner of Central Park and Cermak. Invited Guest our CPS President Michael Scott, and Alderman Michael Chandler. We are starting here but there is more to come

How did the meeting go?

Meeting went Good of couse the elected officials didn't show.But on June 14th at 6:00pm at United Baptist on Roosevelt close to pulaski we are going to Alderman Chandlers meeting not that he's worth a hill of beans but we are going too strat bombarding his meetings as he is a sell out. Also some people are going to be working on finding out about all the vacant property he has around here and in tme we are going to expose him Also their is a meeting On June 15th @ Howland School this is one of the schools slated for closing we are going to try and get community people in there for their transitory advisory council unstead of Daley putting cronies in ther thats also at 6:00 pm corner of 16th and Spaulding. And Finaly the next Lawndale Community Organiztion meeting is June 16th a planning meeting @ 1627S. Central Park ve Chicago Il Chante of course your name came up because we need a venue to wake people up and I know you have talent and gifts given by the Creator. If you cannot make any other meeting if you could possibly make the planning meeting that would be good. I also made some contacts with some people that can help us in our struggleI met the Director of the Steans Family Foundation which matches 1000 dollars that you same they match it with four thousand it was suppose to help buy homes but since gentrification we are being priced out of the neighborhood so you can use the money for education I also met two brothers that are event planners etc. the name of their Organization is Chicago Family Foundation
