Level I Survival Training/Chicago Area

Htp Afrikans,

For those interested, a survival training weekend is being planned for those in the chicago area in mid october. Training will consist of practical survival skills such as: learning to start a fire, water purification, map and compass navigational skills, plant identification, creating transportable survival kits, martial arts and weapons training. This is only a partial list and participation DOES NOT REQUIRE OR ASSUME ANY PREVIOUS TRAINING IN MARTIAL ARTS OR PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF SURVIVAL SKILLS. Participation in this weekend is by invitation only. Our faciliators have well over 20yrs experience with this work. If you're interested hit me on the pm.

Wow thats so tight. I hope people take advantage of that. Why cant they have anything like that going on where i am.. im gonna have to start looking around.

Hey RQ! i think WE'll have the 'right' group. You know, you may have to organize it yourself. That's what this is. Just a few Black people sick and tired of being sick and tired of watching Our folk catch hell and US not being prepared. WE are starting. This is seed work. Putting the energy out there really manifested itself quickly and now WE just makin' it happen.

definately around so many Afrikans that would
be able to put together something like that.

You could rally up sis Jahness, and others in the
forum who are located NYC and see what
resources are there.

You know i really feel you. After Hurricane Katrina i tried to get my family to start preparing with just the basics. I went online researching like a mad woman even reverting to this site cause theres alot of info on here. At first they all laughed and called me paranoid, my sister said with a capitol P. Then one by one they were like well you know what, youre right. But guess what, they havent budged yet. You know what bothers me tho. If something like this happens and im the only one prepared then they will expect me to share with them and put my life at stake when i told them to do the same thing. Thats depressing. Anyway i know a few friends here at school who also feel the need to be prepared so im gonna swing my list there way and maybe they could help me with some research and work from there. This is encouraging and motivating as well. Thank you!

RQ, sounds like a plan...i think WE just have to move forward and do what WE can to bring the people WE love the most on board. The painful fact is that many of them won't come and WE must move/prepare.
i think Mekeda7 is right. There gots to be plenty of folk with the will and skillz in nyc, ya dig? And oh yeah, you can muddle in my threads anyday...

Sis i WISH i was in the city right now. I miss it so. But im in white washed B-LO. School. But it is highly possible that i will be back in the city to stay for the entire summer 06. we shall see. Thank you for the suggestion tho. Wish i could meet all of you face to face someday and do just as u said. But the site alone is empowering so i'll do what i can from here. Gonna find out who's up here with me!

yeah that does sound 'tight'......make me want to research options here in the tri-state area....

really just been thinking once am in position, i plan to pack my own bag....learn what i can..mostly comes from this forum right now.....

waiting for a day when i can link with folks i can trust enough to really care and share..enough to engage in such an endeavor as is about to go down in chi-town....

and...i feel you on the point to folk lookingm, watching, agreeing even, yet seemily doing nothing to prepare...then what if something happens..yet in the rooms of recovery they have a clique which may help you when and if you need it...."Expectations are a set up for resentments"....bottome line...some folk may get angry when they don't get what they want when they want it.....then they be resenting you and yours.....will be what the Creator ordained for them if they chose not to get on board with you....

Warriors maybe we can get a standard outline to use all over ie.CHI, NYC, LA, ATL. etc. we here in Atlanta have firearms training, physical training, & political education. The survival training you described Brother, is and essential part of any real survival so lets make it happen here in Atlanta too...
