Nia singing Strange Fruit by Billie Holiday at age 4
This little Sister got me smilin’, feelin’ all good inside, and even joyfully laughin’ a little…we need to start them all young like this, embracing their story, and may her parents be blessed…
I know little sister got a “long long ways to go” before she truly understands the depth of what she’s singing about, but still, this did my heart some good. There‘s hope yet…
BTW_even at her age, when I think about it, she’s way ahead of some folks 4, 5, to 6 times her age…also I see this young sister is getting a lot of play in general from the mainstream media for her singing talent (and cuteness of course).
Here are just a few comments by this little Sister Nia's mom from the Youtube link:
"...I do believe that a lot of Jewish children are taught the holocaust from birth. Her singing about Strange Fruit about the plight of black is no different. They should know about their history, so that the bad history does not repeat itself"
"Thank you for your kind comments. Nia is an old soul and really took to the song. When she first heard this song at 4 she knew it was a dark song because of the feeling of the music and the lyrics. I was surprised she got into it so much. All I told her was that sometimes people do bad things to others and that it is wrong to do so. So she did learn a lesson in it without getting too graphic. Although, she knows I am holding back on her."
Beautiful!!! That little sis is on the right track.

ooooh, little Nia! i have been watching this little princess before. I was so amazed! i showed her videos to everybody passing by my house that day
she so talented, and im thankful is bein directed the right way.
by the way, yall should check her singin "If i aint got you" at the age of 2. not only she does a good job, but for a 2year old girl maintain the attention on one single thing for so many minutes is already an acomplishment!
