The Uncut History Of The Legend

The Uncut History Of The Legend

Even though I ended up playing bass (started out playing guitar), I've always had deep admiration for this Brother. When I was a kid diggin' the hell outta The Isley Brothers (Ernie Isley in particular), P-Funk (Ed Hazel, Mike Hampton & Blackbyrd), Buddy Miles and of course Santana (later came Prince, Jesse Johnson and Vernon Reid in the 80's), I heard so much talk about how he came before all of them. Yes, B.B. King is rightfully considered "The Father" of it all but it was Jimi who lead it off in a new direction.

Anyway, I just came across this three part video on his life. I checked it out and I was like bugged-out at all the stuff that took place in the Brother's life. I knew about the story of the shifty-ass manager and how it was a strong possibility that Jimi's death was foul-play but this joint added mountains of new information.

Well, without further ado . . .

Jimi Hendrix: THE UNCUT STORY

And, as a bonus, The entire concert of Jimi Hendrix performing at the Woodstock festival in 1969.
