      blog entry: Early mourning...

Well, for some odd reason, I woke up at around 6 30 this morning. I couldn't go back to sleep so I went for a walk. But while I was walking, the thought came to mind. Could Black Nationalism actually go both ways? I mean, in one way, it could be an idealogy uplifting to Blacks while also being a calling of a nation, it could also be a haven for conservative/republican/fascist more right-wing blacks also.

In Africas situation, the pride and unity that comes from nationalism is every much well needed. Some would probably agree that the two could bring the country out of the hole it's in now. But what happens when Africa is finally fully liberated and thriving self-sufficently? Will we have ones that will try to gain power and become tyrannts to the people of this new liberated Africa? I would imagine Africa being many worlds in one. Africans of all shapes, colors, and sizes peacefully co-existing amongst each other without any reason why they shouldn't.

But what if there is someone that comes into power and carry Black Nationalism to the point of conformity amongst a whole nation of people? Setting a nationwide standard of what "THE" African/Black man and woman should be or look like with his/her life completely dedicated to thier nation. Some people see no problem with that. But what if it does get to the point of where there were mass exterminations of Blacks that were different due to religious and political beliefs. Black Police beating, murdering, and kidnapping young black children that freely express themselves in whichever way they do.

Imagine the burning of books that teach anything other than Black Nationalism and hatred for whomever would be considered lesser people. Made me think....could black nationalists be blindy fighting for a Fascist African Nation seriously under the banner of Marcus Garvey's "One God,One Aim,One Destiny" qoute?

Could Marus Garvey himself been a black National Socialist just playing for our team? Many people often have a romantized veiw of Black Nationalism but if you look at it from another angle it could be far from liberal. And we all know, it gets ugly when the people fight back.

      Peace be upon you

Ok, I sat and looked at all the segments, from one thru seven, and some of this stuff I actually thought was pretty cool. To see your typical middle class African American somewhere prospering with his/her own brothers and sisters. When in the states they make it look like we have absolutely no shot at this type of life without abandoning your identity. Not only that but we have really no place to go if it's not working out here. Kind of like, we are programmed to think that if the white man fails, we all fail. But see, how they have colourism in their society? I caught on to that. They still have ghetto's and the famous HIV/AIDS epidemic. It would be nice to have a governing system where the Capitialism and Socialism met in the middle. I believe that if you do have a multi-million dollar business, you should put some of that money into fixing upthe "hoods" of S.Africa(or wherever you may be). Give some of those poor people the chance to be an active member in this opportunity by giving them Grants or something to get them a higher education to be apart of this change. Because it is indeed something they aren't use to. Fund ,and form, an institution that has courses on how to make your way in this change of systems. I'm not saying they should just GIVE people money just because thier black an poor(or maybe lazy). But give the ones that want to be part of that lifestyle a chance to be as successful as you are. If Africa could create a median for capitalism and socialism America would probably try to Atom bomb them for throwing salt in thier game and messing up the lick they are hitting off ignorant and uneducated African Americans.
