To me, Paris' first album is "dated". That's not to say it is "wack", because it isn't...but I had some of my people's listen to Paris' first album (who never heard Paris before) and they couldn't get into it. I think this is hard for people who was into Paris from the time he first came out to accept this. I know when my people's wasn't feeling it, I found it hard to accept myself. But that's what I mean when I say it is dated. On the other hand, Paris' "Guerrilla Funk" album sounds contemporary. Sorta like how Rakim's "Follow The Leader" album is SUPERIOR to alot of contemporary releases. That's just the way I see it.Originally Posted by Kefentse_Bandele
Wussup Nia! What you know about Askari X???
I doubt if you could EVER find this album...but if you can find Askari X's FIRST album ("Ward of the State")...you should trip out off of it. The best way I could describe that album is that Askari X DEFINITELY does not like white people, LOL!!!
