Kanye West, former spokesperson for Pepsi, has since lost his
endorsement deal with the soft drink giant due to his publicized remarks
regarding the mishandling of the Katrina evacuees/victims. I mean if you're
like me...just SICK and TIRED of being black in America and being
mishandled, then do something. Our parents and their parent's
SHUT DOWN an entire bus system during the Civil Rights era by
CHOOSING to do something.

Here is your opportunity.

We're calling a boycott on ALL Pepsi products. If they want to drop
Kanye, how about we DROP them! And as much as we love a good Pepsi
and a bag of Fritos, we should NOT buy another Pepsi including any of their
family products (see link below) until a formal apology is given and a
donation is rendered to the Red Cross (or a similar organization) in the
sum of the amount of Kanye's contract with Pepsi.

If you're committed to doing something to tell not just Pepsi but the
world (including the Associated Press for that racist caption) that
there is power in the Black community, then pass this along. Because
there's POWER in numbers.

I don't buy Pepsi products anyway. They are mostly unhealthy. Their sodas have no nutritional value and contain excessive amounts of refined sugar and caffeine. Their snacks are loaded with fat, salt, and additives. They peddle poison for the most part.

Wow...first Ludicris gets dropped because of right wing pressure coming at him (headed up by Bill O'Rielly) because of his "gangsta lyrics" and now Kon Man gets dropped because he has an opinion about Bush that "somebody" didn't like, and most likely there was pressure from the right wing at work on him too. So we now know what kind of whores the good people at Pepsi are. And we see how cowardly and racist these people are by the targets they are picking. But most important of all, we are now going to see what kind of person Kanye is. Will Kanye make the money? or will the money make Kanye?

rebelafrika, it is always very easy for our oppressor to try and pull the bread out of our mouths. It is all part of the capitalistic system. They will always try and control our people.

Now with all this going on Afrikans should have been boycotted pepsi. This is another liberation strategy we can use. For all the Afrikans that buy pepsi's products if we all stop buying pepsi can be shut down.


We all jsut have to be committed to the cause. If all afrikans make up their mind and help in this protes boycott, then we can succeed, but it will only happen if we do it as a unified effort.

I had a feeling that this would happen eventually; ain't nothing new. However, maybe this will be a good opportunity for him to sponsor a drink that is actually beneficial, or chips that actually have nutritional value. I find it curiously strange that the "Brands" page is no longer available. They need to come out with a statement, on BET perhaps, dispelling the rumors if they don't want to suffer worldwide economic "setbacks." Remember, Pepsi, if you are reading this, that the whole world was watching the after effects and treatment of the Black victims of hurricane Katrina.

Much appreciation to you for your updated article on this topic of pepsi dropping Kanye.

Whether or not pepsi drops Kanye is of no real importance, because I am sure they are still oppressing Afrikans who support them unconditionally one way or the next.

Who knows maybe they got word the boycott was on and decided to do some public relations damage control. Yt is smart. They leave nothing to chance. As a matter of fact they love Afrikans "humanitarianism disease" as one of our distinguished warrior Akyeame here at the forum puts it. We are always quick to forgive them and make up after they have done so many wrongs to us.

It's not only pepsi we should be targeting, its all these companies that take our dollars that we give to them so willingly out of the Afrikan communities and do not put anything back. They do not help rebuild or maintain any Afrikan community.

For every dollar that we spend rebuilding and helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina, we must, as Afrikans, spend a dollar or more, to help build/rebuild Afrika, our Motherland. We cannot ignore the plight of Afrikans in the Motherland any longer. This is a must. Afrika would be "right" if we did our part here in the Belly of the Beast.

If we don't look out for home, OUR BELOVED MOTHER AFRIKA, somebody else will!!! That is our home and we must not only look at it as such, but we must totally embrace it with our limitless funds.
