The reason why I didn't vote is because the choices are limited. Even though its a good list of fabolous women I will vote later on in life. Uhuru warriors.

So why didn't you ask for more choices, or suggest who should be on the list?

I woulda put Erykha first until, well, the Million More Movement...what the hell was she talking about? on? I would have to choose Lauryn because she articulates powerfully, poetically the struggles and confusion of the vast majority of our people whether singing, rapping, or sitting in front of yt playing her guitar and crying...hopefully she will find her way home soon, again...
"The problem with modern conceptualizations is it leaves no room for other sources of knowledge...The Kemetic concept approaches the process of knowing from a more 'common sense' approach. Ultimately knowing is the result of a divine, universal, and intergenerational conversation among God the creator, the cosmos, nature and the creatures of the earth, especially human beings...the process of human creativity is an imitation or rather repitition of divine creativity."--Jacob Carruthers

I like them all but I'll pick Jill & Amel! They're both vocally incredible & they drop real shit, especially sista Jill Scott!

And no matter what game they play
We got something they could never take away
And it's the fire (fire), it's the fire (fire)

I chosed Lauryn. But i must add Jill Scott is deeply underrated, i mean, for real. you listen to this sister and no matter what you have gone thru or what are you feeling, she's gon be singin about it, and its her ways are so amazing she can make you cry. I love Lauryn and Erykah, i adore them! but they never made me cry the way Jill can
