For whatever reason which artist are you most interested in. It could be because of their spirituality, looks, songs, etc. This is for both sis and bros.

      Erykah Badu
      India Arie
      Jill Scott
      Lauryn Hill

Jill Scott. I dig India and Erykah a lot. But Jill seems most stable, grounded and mature. She is really what they are, but she just doesnt dress it visibly.

I voted for Lauryn because of her ability to DOMINATE the mic (when she decides to rap...instead of sing)

      LOL.. you said DOMINATE.

India DOMINATES the guitar and the art of Melody.
Jill Scott DOMINATES the art of tone and clear delivery.
Erykah DOMINATES the art of matching wit to deepness.

but i was really think the question was less about music and more about total package. right?

Both of them...........................I have no favorites. I just respect every Afrikan female/male on the planet as long as they know from where they come from.

Dat is it! Jill Scott seems mo real and dedicated to the realities she sings about, i like indiairie but she seems like she is mo of a straight up artist than a combination of artist/liberationist, and after what erykah said at the MMM i know she whack! so sistah Jill Scott is MY GURL! she keepin it real and i can tell she ain't frontin!! she also has a book of poetry out 2!

I honestly cant choose they are all the total package for me....they all go through downfalls from the pressures of being a celebrity (some more obvious then others) but that shows that they're human I love all of those sistahs and i hope they continue to put out good music.

Hard for Me to choose between Erykah and Lauryn. All of the Sistren above are Empresses in My opinion but the 2 I mention here are So gifted, They have a way of communicating the issues Hue-mans deal with and experience like very few can.

      Bless.

it's all about india arie for me. i can listen to her albums without skipping a track. i dig her skillz on the guitar. i also dig what she sings about in her songs. i like her clothing style. it may look different at times, but it's nice and she looks beautiful. i wish she would hurry up and release an album.

Some people take themselves WAY TOO SERIOUSLY, when in actuality, no one else is really taking them as seriously as they think.
